The Charter of National Education
We have been bom into this land, charged with the historic mission of
regenerating the nation. This is the time for us to establish a self-reliant
posture within andcontribute to the common prosperity of mankind without,
by revitalizing the illustrious spir.it of our forefathers. We do heréby state
the proper course to follow and set it up as the aim of our education.
With the sincere mind and strong body, improving ourselves in learning
and arts, developing the innate fac비ty of the nation, we will cultivate our
creative power and pioneer spirit. We will 밍ve the foremost consideration
to public good and order, set a value on efficiency and quality, inherit of
mutual assistance rooted in love and respect and faithfulness, will promote
the spirit of fair and warm cooperation. Realizing that the nation develops
through the creative and cooperative activities and that the national prosperity
is the ground for individual growth,we will do our best to fufill the responsibi-
lity and obligation attendant upon our freedom and right, and encourage
the willingness of the people to participate and serve in building the nation.
The love of the country and fellow countrymen together with the firm
belief in democracy against communism is the way for our survival and
the basis realizing the ideals of the free wor1d. Looking forward to the future
when we sh떠1 have the honorable father1and unified for the everlasting good
of posterity, we as an industrious people with confidence and pride pledge
ourselves to m따
